Eidos has announced first details on their new Wii exclusive Monster Lab. It’s being described as a story driven action RPG in the vein of Pokemon. The art style is purposefully reminiscent of Tim Burton’s films.

Players will build completely customizable ‘monsters’ from over 300 different items and 150 monster parts. You build your monsters by playing minigames with the remote and nunchuck. You’re required to do well at the games because if you mess them up your monster will have worse abilities.

It sounds like a very promising concept and from the looks of it has high production values. This will be one to watch for when it’s released next summer.
