Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles dated for North America

Capcom’s survival-horror franchise, Resident Evil, is coming to the Wii! Well, for the second time since Resident Evil 4 was ported to the system… But a new Resident Evil is coming to the Wii! Subtitled Umbrella Chronicles, the former third-person adventure series has been adapted into an on-rails shooter, allowing to point and shoot the zombie fiends using the Wii’s unique controller. People wondering how that transition is going to work will have their answer later this year. Japanese developer, Capcom, revealed during the Tokyo Game Show that the game will hit North America on November 13th.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is sort of a remake in that you’ll be playing through multiple events in the game from previous titles. Playing through the events of Resident Evil 0, 1, and 3, you’ll also play through brand-new locales and new story elements, all detailing the fall of the sinister corporation, Umbrella. The game features support for Nintendo’s upcoming peripheral, the Wii Zapper, as well as 2-player co-operative play. The game is rated M for Mature by the ESRB, and will cost $49.95 (US).
