Much as we all expected, Pokemon Snap, the cult-classic N64 title which allows players to capture pictures of various pocket monsters in their natural habitat, is officially coming to the Wii’s Virtual Console. A lot of people have been waiting for this one, but they’re getting treated to something even more special.

In addition to the game’s content, the snapshots taken by Wii users can then be posted onto the Message Board which you can then send to your Wii friends online like any other photo.

This is a good sign from Nintendo. Finally they’re adding online functionality to some of these games. But hopefully, this seriously ramps up for future titles. When are we going to be able to play VC titles online?
