I know that I’ve posted rumours before, but it looks like this is official as official gets. People in Japan already have the game (even though it’s not “out” until the weekend) and over the past 12 hours or so, pictures and videos of Brawl have come flooding out. Going on the obvious assumption that nothing will change between the Japanese version and the North American version, we now know just how many and which characters we’ll be getting to duke it out with when Brawl finally hits our shores on March 9th.

Oh, and that infamous 35-Character roster that was supposedly leaked a while back that everybody called “fake” on? … It turns out it was the real deal.

I won’t spoil it for you here in case you didn’t know about that specific roster, but you can take a look at the full list of characters after the jump!

Mario, DK, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Marth, Mr. Game & Watch
Luigi, Diddy Kong, Zelda, Pit, Meta-Knight, Falco, PT, Ike, Snake
Peach, Yoshi, Ganandorf, Ice Climbers, K. Dedede, Wolf, Lucario, Ness, Sonic
Bowser, Wario, WW Link, Cpt Falcon, Cpt Olimar, ROB, Jigglypuff, Lucas

Right now there are a few images that confirm this roster, the most recent being this one:

The roster above is the final roster, with the exception of Wolf (who as of this moment has yet to be confirmed), but since the 35-Character roster has been flawless to this point (it was even correct on the positioning of the characters), I have no doubt in my mind that the final character will indeed be Wolf. I’ll post an updated picture of the complete roster once one surfaces.

UPDATE 2: Wolf has finally been confirmed, so we now have a shot of the entire roster.

I’ve just been informed that the picture below is just a photoshop, and not actually a confirmation. Though, we all know it’s going to be Wolf anyway (unless we’re all blindsided by another character like MegaMan… please?) , so this might as well serve as a final image. I’ll just humbly wipe this egg off my face… Thanks Colin!
