Brothers in Arms: Double Time has been done for awhile…

If sarcasm was a liquid, I’d be intoxicated on it right about now. That’s why I’m going to say this is GREAT to hear. CVG did an interview with producer of Brothers in Arms: Double Time, Stephen Palmer. Some (I can’t imagine many) were wondering why Brothers in Arms didn’t come to the Wii last year like it was intended. Talk was even going around that the game was canned altogether. Well that rumour has been put to rest. Palmer confirmed the game still was coming… and has been done for awhile… and hasn’t been touched since.

And Brothers in Arms: Double Time on Wii seems to have vanished altogether?

Palmer: That’s done. It’s going to be coming out at about the same time as Hell’s Highway.

Will it have the same subtitle then?

Palmer: There’s still some talk about that. It’s been done for a while actually. We want to release all of these new titles at once.

So… they’ve finished the game… but they’re just not taking the time to clean it. Either they feel this game is going to be God or they really are just slacking off with this one. After Medal of Honor Heroes 2, I find it hard to believe this Xbox port is ready to go. I’m sorry, and I tried to stay objective while writing this, but to hell with it. This is just plain insulting. They aren’t using the time that they have to make this the best they possibly can. That’s a real slap in the face.

My first boss really annoyed me, but it’s right now that I feel I need to quote him. “If you have time to lean, you have time to clean.” And right now, this doesn’t look very clean.

Brothers in Arms: Double Time is a port of Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 which hit the Xbox, PS2 and PC in 2005. The game was received very well, which I should at least be thankful for, so maybe this won’t be all that bad. If they do intend to launch this beside Hell’s Highway, then we’ll probably see this game August 26th this year. Hopefully the game turns out a lot better than its sounding. After Medal of Honor Heroes 2, it certainly needs to pick up the pace.
