T3 Magazine predicts mind-controlled Wii 2.0 by 2010
Remember back in 2005 and that video of the Nintendo ON was “leaked”? The internet sort of freaked out about it in a major sort of way. Or maybe it was just me. It seems that there are some people who can’t let the dream of a futuristic hyper-simplistic Nintendo console die.
British-based T3 Magazine seems to be among them. In their latest issue they’ve predicted that the next Wii console will be almost completely mind-controlled, as well as controllers that feature a single button. Of course, not only will all this be “possible”, but supposedly it will all be available by 2010.
I’m all for fun and simplicity, but this is just ridiculous. While mind controlled games are just starting to make appearances in very basic forms, I definitely don’t think they’d be ready for mainstream release within 2 years. If Nintendo’s going to release a console in 2010, they’d almost need to have finished the final product by now.

Tiny neuro-receptors pick up brain waves through the thickest of hair, so no unsightly scalp shaving need take placeYOU WHAT?
Completing the immersion experience, built in earphones will screw deep into your lugholes, for shattering, terrifying cries of “It’s-a-me… Mario!”WII REMOTE 2.0
There’ll still be a handheld pointer. With your brain choosing what its function is at any given time, only one button will be required - helping to save the world’s ever-depleting button reservesNINTENDO WII 2.0
The Wii revolutionised the way we interact with games. Could Nintendo be thinking of topping that with a though-powered Wii 2? By 2010, you could be using your wireless Wii Wand to guide Mario around the karting track and your brainwaves to throw banana skins. Crazy, you say? Mind control is already a reality - snap up shares in brain-game pioneers Emotiv today - and we’d love to see what the big N can do with it. who would actually expect Nintendo to announce anything about a new platform anytime soon? Especially now with the Wii dominating the planet
A new DS? Maybe, but not likely. But a new Wii already? Even just in talks and stuff? No chance. Nintendo doesn’t need to. They own the freakin’ globe right now.
