Drawn to Life Review

Drawn to Life on the DS can best be summed up with one word: unique. THQ has crafted a wonderfully original game. However, past Drawn to Life’s original elements is a very ‘by the books’ platforming adventure, and due to its lack of depth it will have trouble keeping you entertained.

Yoshi’s Island DS Review

Yoshi’s Island on the Super Nintendo isn’t just one of my favorite games of all time, it IS my favourite game of all time. So when a sequel was announced for DS, I was very excited, but cautiously optimistic. The original game balanced art, level design, music, and brilliant gameplay mechanics to create the greatest 2D platformer of all time. How could a game possibly be made to even match it, let alone better it? Especially from such an inexperienced developer as Artoon?

Mario Kart DS Review

Mario Kart DS Boxart

Long before the DS was ever released, Nintendo fans knew a Mario Kart would be arriving on the unique handheld. The series has been a staple of Nintendo consoles since it’s inception on the Super Nintendo. It spawned a brand new genre, and set a new standard for multiplayer goodness. A disappointing Gamecube installment may have caused some to lose faith in Nintendo’s ability to continue to develop high quality games in the series. That would be a mistake, however, as Mario Kart DS is now on the scene, and not only is it by far the best DS game available, it’s also the best game in the entire series.
